Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Date: February 2008
Reports to: V.P. of Manufacturing
Job Purpose: Provide Manufacturing with Engineering support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordinating offshore Production while improving cycle time and yields and implementing new product ramp-up and package design ensuring offshore products meet quality and reliability standards.
- Support and improve manufacturing processes in Assembly both locally and offshore as needed.
- Review customer specification and requirements with Supervisor and/or Customer to understand the customer requirements.
- Make a Production Specifications/Travelers of the device that is optimum for the customer’s requirement.
- Modify procedures in order to have a process that is under Statistical Process Control and/or improve the overall performance of the application.
- Oversee the development of quality metrics and standards for Production Metrics.
- Develop Specifications and Training documentation and work with the supervisors to implement training.
- Ensure equipment is calibrated and set up correctly and monitor processes on a routine basis to make sure that the process remains in Statistical Process Control.
- Establish the product performance distribution for new product and understand the critical processes that need to be monitored and controlled.
- Write a monthly Engineering report to communicate the status of all projects under the Engineers control.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Must be able to work with supervisors to coordinate flow and status of jobs in offshore Assembly. Coordinate design builds to meet schedules and develop priorities based on demands and potential issues. Work with Managers to carry out the transfer of new products from Sales in such a manner that it becomes an efficient production process. Run Statistical Process measurement to monitor processes. Record data and report out of control processes. Help supervisors to train operators and evaluate effectiveness of training and ensure training of subordinates and evaluate effectiveness of training while adhering to ISO standards. Apply basic Engineering principles and practices to assist in solving production problems. Work with Sales and Sample group to evaluate samples data as needed. Develop job-related skills to enhance flexibility. Respond to quality issues and help identify solutions. Support Safety Audits of your area.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
BS degree in Engineering. AutoCAD skills a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate on varying technical levels. Engineering, Application Design or 5 years of RF Test experience in the Semiconductor Electronic field. Excellent team skills including but not limited to: providing direction, managing and resolving conflicts, maintain an environment of cooperation, leading problem solving efforts within a team environment, communicating goals with employees. Be able create test procedures and other required documentation and available for travel if required.

Job Title: Process/Product Development Engineer
Date: February 2008
Reports to: V.P. of Engineering
Job Purpose: Develop new Products and Process that are needed to meet the demands of the Market
Place. Take customer requirements and formulate a mathematical model to meet these demands. Convert this model into a physical construction of the device. Use existing processes where applicable and develop new processes where they are needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review customer specification and requirements with Supervisor and/or customer to understand requirements.
- Make a mathematical model of the device that is optimum for the customers’ requirements.
- Convert the mathematical model into a physical model that is the best implementation of the model.
- Develop a process flow using existing processes where possible and developing new where needed.
- Modify the process in order to have a process that is under Statistical Process Control and/or improve the overall performance of the process.
- Document the process in formal documentation to be used by Wafer Fab supervisor for training of the production operators and technicians.
- Work with the Wafer Fab supervisor to implement training program on all documented processes.
- Establish the product performance distribution for new product and understand the critical processes that need to be monitored and controlled.
- Monitor process on a routine basis to make sure that the process remains in Statistical Process Control.
- Write a monthly Engineering report to communicate the status of all process under the Engineers control. This includes any projects that have been implemented to improve process performance.
- Help maintain the equipment required to run the processes.
- Contract outside Services where necessary to maintain the equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications:
Experience, Competencies and Education
MS or Ph.d. in Electrical Engineering; Physics; Chemical Engineering; Chemistry or related field; or a BS in EE, Physics, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry and at least 5 years of Wafer Fab experience in new product development.
Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
